It has been a while since I posted last. It’s not because I have been to busy. Though I am busy but more because I am kind of in the middle of most of my projects and reporting on them has been the last thing on my mind.
I have been out of work the last few months and the job hunt is in full swing I have been emailing and looking for work on job sites. And even had a few interviews though my interview technique has been a bit rough. I find phone interviews are a lot more difficult then in person ones . One of them my interviewer was in a crowded room and it made it very difficult to hear her. But it was a learning experience.
A few weeks back I rejoined slimmingworld. Which seems to be my go to out of work activity. I have lost over half a stone and I know I could stand to lose a few more but I have been enjoying the cooking. I like cooking I’m no master chef but I am getting better. If I can scrounge some money together I might do a cooking class. Fergus has been enjoying the cooking so far. He isn’t enjoying the clean up. That part isn’t my strong suit. Two most interesting dishes where chicken chow main and a Thai green curry both need some improvements but they where enjoyable.
I think I found the key to my productivity when I am out of work. I have always been a productivity nerd but this seems to be working for me at the moment. I have a spreadsheet with daily activities and the aim is to get a minimum of 3 a day done. And I will admit some of these are easy to do 20 min of exercise(hula hooping) one lesson on duolingo (level 8 in German with a chain of 31 days ) and send off a cv about a job. For me every activity is worth a point. God knows what I will do with the points. Treat myself somehow when I hit 1000, maybe I can get a massage?
My app is starting to come together aside from one or two glitches on android it’s looking like an app. I am confident I can fix it.
And I have good news my tarot illustration project is nearly done. I’m not sure what I will do with it when it is done but I only have 4 cards left to illustrate. They are cute characters and I look forward to finishing them. I think I will get them printed even if it is just for me.
