I am the project guy , I’m the kind of guy who likes to have something to do or something to work on and I give my self new projects pretty much all the time. It would be better if i could finish off the one before it all the time but that’s life the new project always seems shinier more fun or better then I have done previously .
Lately i have been applying several techniques to try combat the new idea supplanting the old idea. the main one is the notebook. I am taking down ideas for use later on. I’m also using things like the magic spreadsheet to make sure a bit of work gets done on a project every day. the magic spreadsheet is working well i have over 14000 words written on a story which I have been working on for roughly 40 days.
Today I got totally sidetracked. I got sidetracked by an attempt to emulate an artist who’s picture has remained my desktop for over 3 years across several computers. Its one of the first settings I change on my computer.

my work of apparent art
so I found a video of how this artist works and I tried to copy his process .I will admit mine looks crude at best compared to his work but I worked for a long time on my own image and I am proud of the result. Its not the best drawing I have done . Its not even close but there is somthing about it that makes me proud. I think if i tried it in photoshop instead of sketchpad for my tablet it would look cleaner . But I am not going to be the bad workman who blames his tools. I know my weaknesses when it comes to drawing . I know my weaknesses in a lot of areas . but i am happy to work on them. one project at a time .
