Another quiet month. spent largely working on my comic and dealing with life in my day job. Where we currently have two developers one of whom is on holiday. So it has been a busy month. I also have been experimenting with reels on Instagram.
I am not a fan of reels on Instagram. I am actually considering moving my art over to something like Patreon or only fans. at least those platforms pay and I don’t think there is shadow banning for your local sex-positive artists…
Art
Most of my art has been focused on drawing Baldur. Which has reached the length of one published comic book. though I am going to take two weeks off releasing it to get a little bit ahead.
One thing I did experiment with this month is watercolours. I bought a cheap set on amazon from major brushes. the results are on the leftmost picture. I enjoyed it, and it is something I want to work on more. when I find the right inspiration.
Music
I am finding myself a bit blocked musically lately. I don’t have the focus that I need to learn the third piece for the cello (monn cello concerto in g minor) there have only been a few minor breakthroughs. though cello lessons start back next week so I hope to get focus from doing that. the exam is in November.
the piano has been slow as well. I have finished the complete lessons on yousican and have been slogging my way through “ave maria” and “take me out to the ball game” of all things it doesn’t sound hard but it is fast and involves a lot of chromatic movement. not helped by me hating that song at the best of times
